Cinnamon Apple Crumble Recipe

This apple dessert is made with apples, sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon!

Ingredients
  

The Filling

  • 2 lbs Granny Smith Apples
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamom
  • 1 tbsp white flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice (or water)

The Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Peel and cut your green apples into small cubes. Try and make sure they are all around the same size to ensure they all cook equally.
  • Transfer the cubed apples to a bowl. Sprinkle with the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Pour the lemon juice over top. Toss in the bowl then transfer to a quart baking dish.
  • Now make the crumble topping. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients. Using your hands is easiest way to ensure the ingredients all mix. Sprinkle over the apples.
  • Place in oven. Bake for 35-45 minutes. Watch the top for goldening. Remove and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
