Instructions

  • Preheat your oven according to your shortbread dough package. It is usually around 350 degrees. Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or your silicone mat and set aside.
  • Next, open your short bread dough. Sprinkle your all-purpose flour onto your clean counter. Roll out and knead the dough until flat. Then divide the dough for the fingers. Roll the dough into a worm like line (the finger shape), I just use my hands for this part. You may need to use the water here on your hands so the dough does not stick to you! Place the dough logs onto the parchment paper.
  • Using a fork or butter knife, create the lines for the knuckles. Do a small thumbprint at the trip of the roll to create a finger nail bed and give the appearance of fingernails. Add a drop of raspberry jam or red gel and then place one almond on top to create the 'bleeding nails'.
  • Sprinkle with salt and place in the oven. Cook according to shortbread cookie package or until the batch is golden brown (15-20 min)! If you are going to cook them later, chill them in the fridge until you are ready to bake them.
