Equipment

  • Blender
  • Kettle
  • Matcha Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk  (any non-dairy or cows milk will work)
  • ¾ cup Strawberries (fresh or frozen will work)
  • 1 little package Stevia (you can use other sweetener here such as Honey, Maple Syrup, or Agave Nectar) Adjust to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ice to serve

Instructions

  • To make this recipe you need to start by washing your strawberries and removing the stems. Also while you are doing this, have some water bowling in your kettle. If you don't have a kettle, boil 1 cup of water.
  • Next take your strawberries and put them into a blender with 1 cup of coconut milk (or the milk of your choice). Blend until completely smooth. Next you need strain this strawberry puree mixture in a mesh strainer. This makes sure your latte is not a smoothie but an actual liquid. You may need to push the strawberry puree through the mesh strainer with the back of a spoon. Set this strawberry milk aside.
  • Once your hot water is done boiling, pour ½ cup of it into a mug. Add in your matcha powder and use the bamboo whisk to help it dissolve. This will create a vibrant green color liquid. Add in your sweetener next (adjust to your preference sweetness). Add in one ice cube cool and a little more milk the matcha layer.
  • In a serving glass, add in a handful of ice cubes. Then layer the strawberry mixture first and then the match latte next. You can serve it with the layered effect or mix it all together with your straw. Drink it right away!
