Chocolate Almond Squares

If you need a quick sweet tooth fix, these no-bake chocolate almond bars are a perfect healthy treat! Gluten-free, vegan, and refined sugar-free, you can enjoy a chocolate fix without the guilt!

Base
- ¾ cup almond butter I used crunchy
- ½ cup coconut flour
- ⅓ cup maple syrup natural
Chocolate Topping
- 1 cup vegan dark chocolate bar or chips
- ¼ cup almond butter
- shredded coconut flakes + sliced almonds optional
Line a baking dish with parchment paper (for easy removal of frozen squares later)
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients for square's base.
Press ingredients into the baking dish so that they lay flat. Put in freeze for 30 minutes.
Put dark chocolate and almond butter into a microwavable bowl. Melt for 30 seconds, stir, then melt again for 30 seconds. If still solid, continue to microwave, just be careful not to burn!
Remove almond square base from freezer and pour melted chocolate combination on top of almond butter creation.
Decorate with coconut flakes and almonds if using.
Freezer for one hour
Remove, cut into squares and serve!
