Homemade Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner

You can skip the store-bought chemical filled all-purpose cleaner and not only remove grease and grime, but disinfect your home as well with this DIY all-purpose cleaner recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups citrus peels in strips (you can use lemon, lime, orange or grapefruit)
3 cups vinegar (apple cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar) or more as needed.

Instructions

Put the citrus peels in a quart size glass jar and cover with the vinegar. Screw a tight fitting lid on top. If you are using a metal lid (like a mason jar), make sure you put a piece of parchment paper in between the lid and the jar to prevent corrosion.
Set the jar in a sunny spot for two weeks to infuse the citrus into the vinegar. Once done, give it a good shake and then strain (with a mesh strainer) out the peels and pour the liquid in a glass spray bottle. This mixture is the citrus cleaner!
