Ingredients

  • 1 Package Pillbury Crescent Roll
  • 6 Hot dogs or mini sausages

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Open your crescent roll package and unroll the dough. Press along the dotted lines to seal the dough all together. Cut the dough with a knife or pizza cutter into ¼ inch strips or long skinny rectangles. Wrap the long pieces of dough around each hot dog. You want to create 'bandages' by stretching the dough around the hot dogs and letting it overlap in a criss-cross. Do not completely cover the entire hot dog, you want to make some of the hot dog visible between the crescent roll dough to give it that mummy illusion.
  • Place each wrapped hot dog mummy on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Once they are done, remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly. Use ketchup, mustard or little pieces of slice cheese slices to give the mummy hot dogs eyes. Serve with mustard or ketchup for dipping!

Notes

You can also make these in the air fryer if you don't want to use the oven. Air-fry them for 8-10 minutes or until gold brown.
If you are feeling brave you can always wrap a cheese slice or bacon around the hot dog before wrapping it with the crescent roll but I usually like to keep it simple with only the two main ingredients.
