Hi Beauties!
Nothing smells better than baked apple pie. Which is why I am coming at you with an apple pie inspired no bake energy ball!
Apple Pie obviously really inspired me to make these protein balls. Of course these are wholesome and raw so they don't have the lovely baked smell of apple pie, but they do have that beloved cinnamon apple taste that screams thanksgiving dinner!
Apple Pie Protein Balls Ingredients:
- coconut flour
- gluten free rolled oats
- vanilla pea protein powder
- nutmeg
- cinnamon
- almond butter
- maple syrup
- unsweetened applesauce
- Shredded coconut (optional topping)
Protein balls and bars are a must. I always make an abundance of them and put them into little snack ziplock bag. I keep them in the freezer, which makes them easy to pull out and throw into your lunch bag. Not only do they thaw out by the time you go to eat them, but they also act as a little ice pack. Who wouldn't love an edible ice pack!
These balls are packed with protein which makes them a long lasting and filling snack. All the ingredients are vegan and gluten free. It is one of the healthiest snack options that is processed and refined sugar free! Eating these balls is actually a gift to your entire body not only your taste buds!
Tips for making these Apple Pie Protein Balls:
One of my favourite tips, when it comes to making any energy ball really, is this one.. if you are finding the mixture too sticky and you feel like you are just making a mess when trying to roll them into little balls.. try wetting you hands a little bit first! I always find that if I have dampened hands then it is easier for me to form little round balls!
Make sure you keep them in an air sealed contained or ziplock back in the fridge or freeze. This will ensure the apple pie taste stays top notch and doesn't fade out.
You could also make these into little bars instead of balls if you want bigger portions! I prefer the balls because they are faster to make and easier to store. But if you wanted to explore different options, you could always make them into bars!
I hope you enjoyed this homemade apple pie protein ball recipe!
