Hi beauties!
So excited to share this dessert with you today. It has become one of my favourites. It is my go to dessert now for when I have a craving for chocolately deliciousness.
It is gluten and dairy free. It is healthy and vegan. I am addicted to it. It not only tastes great but it also is so healthy for you because the base is just avocados and bananas.
I know you are probably thinking avocados in a dessert is gross right? Well I hate love to break it to you that it is amazing! You do not even taste the avocados. PROMISE. They just give the base texture. The avocados provide a wholesome and smooth texture. The bananas provide the sweetness and silky texture.
This recipe not only tastes great but is super quick. It only takes two minutes to blend all the ingredients together. You can prepare it in advance and put it in the fridge to chill or you can serve it right away if the ingredients are already cool.
You can also get creative with add-ons. I added a list of some I have tried on the recipe index card. I decorated this one with toasted coconut shavings and did a border of bananas.

- Avocado
- Banana
- Cocoa powder
- Coconut milk or almond milk
- Vanilla extract
- Medjool dates
- Maple syrup
- Optional extras: coconut shavings, toasted sliced almonds, chia seeds, frozen mixed berries or cocoa nibs.

Vegan Banana Chocolate Mousse
Equipment
- Blender or Food Processor
Ingredients
- 1 Large Ripe Avocado Peel and Pit removed
- 1 Ripe Banana
- ¼ cup raw cocoa powder
- ¼ cup coconut milk or almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 medjool dates pitted
- 2 teaspoon maple syrup
- Optional extras: coconut shavings, toasted sliced almonds, chia seeds, frozen mixed berries or cocoa nibs.
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a food processor or strong blender. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer to serving dish. Add toppings of choice.
