What is Benjamin Moore Calm Paint Color?
Benjamin Moore's CALM paint color is a warm, off-white grey. It's a soft, subtle grey that works well with both light and dark wood tones. Off-white and warm gray are two of the most popular colors right now, and Benjamin Moore's CALM paint color is a great way to get both in one place.
This off-white shade has just a hint of gray in it, making it perfect for updating any room without making it look like you've changed things up too much. It's also an excellent choice if you're looking for a neutral that will go with just about anything else in your home—or even outside it!
BM's Calm is a great choice if you have a room in which you want to create an overall relaxing atmosphere. The color of this paint will help keep it feeling light, airy, and calm. This wall paint color is also known as OC -22. The “OC” stands for original color incase you where curious like me!

Calm is a great paint color with it's hints of purple. Calm is a great color to use if you want your room to feel warm.
WHAT ARE THE UNDERTONES OF CALM?
The main undertone of Benjamin Moore Calm paint color is a slightly noticeable purple hue undertone. This means that the color has a hint of purple in it, but not enough that you'll see anything purple when you paint your walls.
The purple is only noticeable under certain lighting conditions, if at all. In south-facing or western late sunshine, it may look a bit purple/pink with warm softly polished glow . Benjamin Moore describes this color as an off white with a hint of lavender-gray.

LRV is the Light Reflectance Value. Calm has an LRV of 77. The LRV scale ranges from 0, which is pure black, to 100, which is pure white. Considering BM's Calm has an LRV of 77, that puts it on the upper end of the scale close to pure white.
Where Can I Use Benjamin Moore Calm?
Because Calm is on the white paint color scale, you can really use it anywhere in any room. It's soothing, and off-white that makes rooms feel spacious and airy but also warm and cozy. It's perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, and kitchens. It can even be used to paint cabinets! Of course, you could also use this hue in any room of your home if you want it to feel more relaxing. This color would be perfect for meditation rooms or even kids' bedrooms!
Considering this color is a white shade, you may want to consider avoiding it in high-traffic areas. All though BM paint colors are very durable, the white shades are high maintenace. You will need to do some cleaning often to keep that white shade. Opt for low-traffic areas for less maintenace!
While it has a prominent purple undertone, Calm probably isn't the best paint color for an exterior since changing sunlight can make it look different than you'd expect. Avoid painting it on your exteriors.

Benjamin Moore Calm on Trim and Doors
Calm paint color is a great choice for trim because it's a soft, neutral color that works with any coordinating wall color. With the perfect sheen for the ultimate fresh look and spa feel. Make sure you take into account your trim details, base moldings (and wide variety of surfaces) when selecting your finish. The most popular finish is eggshell, but go with the sheen of your choice after trialing with paint samples!
It's also good for doors, but you should make sure you choose a finish that matches the rest of your project. For example, if you're using Benjamin Moore Calmer on your walls, then you might want to use a semi-gloss or satin finish on your door so that it doesn't stand out too much from the rest of the room.
