I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather we have been having lately. I sure have been. I have had the last two days off and I am totally taking advantage of it.
As you all know I have an addiction to my morning coffee.. But this morning it was so hot out I could not stand a hot coffee so I decided to experiment. I made a healthy chocolate frap! It was delicious and perfect for this hot summer day. Which is why I HAD to share it for you here on the blog... because that would be totally rude of me if I didn't.
I sprinkled cinnamon on top to add texture and make it look pretty. You can obviously avoid the cinnamon if you would like. It is a frozen, cold morning beverage with the coffee pick me up most people need!
Skinny Chocolate Frappuccino Ingredients:
- Coffee
- Unsweetened almond milk
- chocolate protein powder
- Banana
- Ice
- Cinnamon
I recommend using a magic bullet for this drink. I absolutely LOVE my magic bullet. I use it for all my blended recipes. It is just so much easier to clean in comparison to my heavy duty blender. I like mornings that are quick and easy and a magic bullet blender is just that!
As you can see I am enjoying this morning coffee / meal drink on my deck in the backyard. I love sitting back her in the mornings listening to the birds and sipping on my cold beverage. The field in behind my backyard fence has cows that always roam around.. I love watching them and taking in the sunshine. It is literally the perfect way to start the day.
You can also get really awesome reusable straws on amazon now. They even come with a cleaning rod to make it easy for you. I ordered mine last week, just waiting on their arrival now! I even came across ones the fold down and fit into a little key chain so you can bring it to restaurants not that plastic straws have been banned in Canada. If I ate out more I would definitely consider ordering those!
Anyways I will stop ranting about the cows in my back yard and get back to this recipe for you all.

Skinny Chocolate Frappuccino
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup coffee Cooled if possible
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or dairy free drink of choice
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder or vanilla protein powder with 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder)
- 1 Frozen Banana
- ¼ cup ice
- 1 pinch cinnamon optional
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth consistency. Pour into glass. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Enjoy!
