Hi beauties!
Hope your summer is going well. I have some exciting news.. I have finally started my YouTube account! I'm current working on some videos and will be releasing it soon. I'm super excited to be expanding my blog to other social media platforms. This will make it easier for me spread my advice, knowledge, and growth with you all! So keep posted.
Anyways now for this quick easy recipe. I usually switch to iced coffee during the summer. I am a Starbucks addict.. but its not the healthiest option at times.. and who are we kidding, it breaks the bank. So I have resorted to making iced coffee at home. I love experimenting with different flavours in my coffee too.
Maple Iced Coffee with Creamer Ingredients:
- Black Coffee
- Maple Tea
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla Extract
- Coconut or almond creamer
Pretty straight forward ingredients. You could potentially make this without the maple tea but I have not tried it yet. The maple syrup is a great sweetener that is refined sugar free, add more or less as per your preference!
Maple Cold Coffee with Vegan Creamer Steps:
Start with 2 cups of plain black coffee. Then add in one bag of maple tea. Maple tea is naturally infused with maple syrup which adds a sweet taste. After letting the bag steep for 3-5 minutes, remove it and add 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Transfer mixture over ice and pour in ½ cup coconut cream (or almond creamer).
Maple Coffee Benefits:
- Packed with Manganese, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
- Naturally sweetened, better for weight loss and weight management.
- Maple contains many natural antioxidants, cancer fighting agents
Also, using a dairy free option as a creamer will satisfy your stomach more so then thick dairy creamer. Dairy isn't great for us, which you have probably already heard.. which is why you are most likely at this recipe post! My favourite saying is "humans are the only mammal who think it is ok to drink another mammals milk".. Isn't that true!? I avoid dairy because of the way it makes me feel and the things it does to my body.. it has never sat well with me, so I just avoid it completely.
And that's really it! It is a pretty easy yet delicious recipe for you to try in the morning. Start your breakfast off with a twist! (and also a lot of caffeine hehe).
Maple tea is actually so great. I love it. A lot of people have never had it but it is definitely something you should try eventually!
