These files are sized for standard 16:9 screens. They can also be used on other displays, although a different aspect ratio may leave borders or crop the edges. For a vertical option, browse my winter iPhone wallpapers.

How to Download and Set Your December Calendar Wallpaper
Step 1: Choose Your Favourite Design
Browse the collection below and find a style you love. The first seven designs are Christmas farmhouse scenes, followed by snowy winter, feminine, vintage and minimal options.
Step 2: Save the Full Size Image
Click Download this wallpaper beneath your chosen preview to open the full-resolution image. Right-click it and choose Save Image As, or use your browser's download option, then save the file somewhere easy to find. Download the linked original rather than taking a screenshot of the preview.
Step 3: Set It as Your Computer Background
On Windows, open Settings → Personalization → Background, choose Picture and browse to your saved image. Microsoft's guide to changing your desktop background in Windows explains the available settings, including Fit and Fill.
On a Mac, open System Settings → Wallpaper and add your saved image. In newer versions, look for Add Photo, then Choose File; Apple's guide to adding a custom wallpaper on your Mac shows the current steps. Menu wording can vary with your macOS version.
If part of the calendar disappears, adjust the image's fit or position rather than stretching it. Fit keeps the whole image visible on Windows, while Fill can crop the edges to cover the screen.

Tips for Choosing a December Desktop Background
Leave Room for Your Desktop Icons
Choose a design with quiet space where your folders usually sit. The cream evergreen sprig, pale blue wash and minimal black-and-cream calendar are good starting points if you keep several shortcuts on your desktop.
Keep the Calendar Visible
After applying your wallpaper, check the entire grid, including the final row of dates. Move folders away from the calendar if needed, and remember that the taskbar or Dock may cover part of the lower edge.
Choose a Style for the Whole Month
You can begin December with a Christmas scene and switch to a snowy or minimal design after the holidays. Save a few favourites in one folder so it is easy to change your background without downloading them again.

Frequently Asked Questions
These downloads are flat image files, so you cannot click a date, type an appointment into the calendar or receive reminders. Use your usual calendar app or planner for event details, and keep the wallpaper as a visual date reference.
You can use a design on your own work device if your workplace allows you to change the background. A managed computer may have wallpaper settings locked by your organization, so check with your IT team if the option is unavailable.
The download size is 1920 × 1080 pixels, so it is smaller than a 3840 × 2160 4K display. It can still be used, but stretching the image may make the calendar and details look softer; this collection is not a native 4K download.
You can set the image on each monitor separately. Stretching one image across two screens may crop or enlarge the calendar, so using the wallpaper individually on each display is usually the easier option.
