Hi beauties!
Coming at you with a delicious spicy garlic chicken wings recipe. This recipe definitely competes with buffalo wild wings for sure but is cheaper and easier to just prepare at home! You will love every bite!
I would have to say that buffalo wings is probably one of the most popular sauce for chicken wings. It is definitely loved and by far one of my favourites!
We buy our chicken wings in bulk and freeze them in two pound bags. If you use this method to stock up on them when they are on sale make sure you label the bags with the date. That way you can make sure you are always using the older dated bags. This is one of my favourite kitchen freezer organization techniques!
Without any more rambling lets jump into how to make these garlic buffalo chicken wing!

- While the oven is preheating you are going to prepare your wings. First, throughly rinse the chicken wings under cold water. Shake any excess water off and place them in a large bowl, set aside.

- Place sheet pan on rack in oven. Cook for 30 minutes total, flipping the wings every 10 minutes.
- While the wings are cooking, prepare the garlic buffalo chicken wing sauce. See instructions below.
Garlic Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce
Once the chicken wings are in the oven cooking, you are going to prepare the garlic buffalo wings sauce.
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 cups Franks Red Hot Sauce
- ¼ cup butter
This garlic buffalo sauce is super easy. Combine those three ingredients into a small saucepan and simmer. You can whisk the ingredients together to help melt butter and fully combine ingredients for this buffalo wing sauce.
Spicy Garlic Chicken Wing Tips
This spicy garlic sauce is bursting with flavors that any spicy wing lover will enjoy! I would say they have a medium heat to hot. There is no cayenne pepper in this recipe but if you want it even spicier you can add some in.
This recipe does not use any cornstarch or baking powder because I find the cornstarch/baking powder makes the wings a little too chalky in texture if you are not using a deep fryer. These wings are baked in the oven which gives them a more healthier feel with less calories.
You can pair this delicious buffalo wing recipe with celery and some ranch or blue cheese dressing! Literally perfection!
