I WAS IN JAMAICA!
If you follow my day-to-day life on my youtube channel, you already know I was in Jamaica last month.
Unfortunately all my photos where deleted off my computer after my hard drive crashed (note to self, never procrastinate a blog post!). Luckily, I was able to gather a few photos from my adventure from my iPhone (so bare with me on the quality please *monkey covering eyes emoji*) and my Instagram.
Our flight was in the morning which is the best way to travel in my opinion. Fun fact, I am the WORST flyer. I hate airplanes, even though I have been on hundreds of flights in my life (mama Bahan is a travel agent). Luckily I was able to keep my anxiety low key for these flights.
We stayed at the Riu Palace in Montego Bay. It was beautiful and modern. It was my first adult only resort, I was surprised how quiet it was with out children around. The entire resort was picture perfect. The Rui team was amazing and always friendly. The food was INCREDIBLE... I can't even put it into words.
Rui is a large resort chain. I have never had a bad experience with them. My favourite part of this resort was the fact that it was in the middle of two other Rui resorts. With our bracelets (given to us on check in), we were allowed to venture to all three resorts freely!
It was so much fun walking the beaches and exploring the resorts. The sand was always clean and warm. The water was always free from seaweed. The air was always carrying the most perfect Caribbean breeze. Take me backkkkk!
We did quite a few excursions which I highly recommend. The first being a two part excursion to black river to see crocodiles and YS falls. YS falls was beautiful. It is the second most popular waterfall in Jamaica. It was not as touristy as the other waterfall, which is why we decided to go to YS.
Our second excursion was a tour to Negril. Negril is on the other side of Jamaica, which is also a very popular destination with many resorts. My mom booked us to Montego Bay Rui Resort because it was only a 5 minute drive from the airport (rather then 1.5 hours).
While in Negril we went to the beach, did some shopping and also went to the LEGENDARY Rick's Cafe. For those of you who haven't heard of Rick's Cafe, it is one of the most amazing bars in the world. It was actually voted one of the top 10 best bars in the world and voted in the top 1000 places to see before you die... and to be honest, I can 100% see why. And the sunset... words can't even.
My baby brother (Evan) and I at Ricks Cafe ^
On top of these two excursions, we also took a cab downtown Montego Bay to Margaritaville. We had so much fun swimming and enjoying some girly drinks.. or in Evan's case, a massive 5 o'clock somewhere drink.
All in all, Jamaica is a must see. I had such an unforgettable time. The people are so friendly and everyone is always so happy. Everyone from Jamaica was always smiling.
From the words of the man himself:
Already looking forward to my next travel adventure. If you have any questions about my time in Jamaica, feel free to shoot me an email! nikkibahan@gmail.com
