Coming in hot with a Joanne Gaines post. Joanna Gaines is my all time favourite designer. Her modern country style just speaks to my soul! Her designs are so inviting. They make a house feel like a home while at the same time look beautiful.
My style is definitely modern country. I love whites mixed with warm wood tones.
While I am writing this post, I am staring at my currently 'in mid renovation' kitchen. This year we are planning to refinish the entire basement and kitchen. Our kitchen is L shaped. We recently removed a huge wall dividing the living room and kitchen. Where the wall was, we plan on putting in a huge island.
Right now my plan is to do all the cabinets white with black iron handles, but do the island in a dark navy colour.. all with a white/grey quartz counter top.
Even though I have everything planned out all ready, I do like searching for inspiration on Pinterest just in case I have missed something or something sparks a new/better idea! Pinterest is so amazing for inspiration. I literally find EVERYTHING I am looking for on Pinterest. Everything from recipes to DIY/crafts to motivational quotes. I probably spend way to much time on Pinterest..
So that being said... I hit Pinterest for the BEST kitchens by Joanna Gaines. And here are the ones I have found

Loving those two statement doors. And that little kitchen island is so cute a simple. Similar rose gold storage here, similar rustic kitchen island here. The large gold cabinet pulls are beautiful with the small square gold knobs.
Love this kitchen but not a huge fan of the shelving unit. I think it would be so beautiful without it! She does a nice job tying in the island chairs with the metal of the shelving though! Wicker chairs are so trendy right now. Check out these from pottery barn!
Love this massive window! I am all about big windows with lots of natural light. Imagine sitting at that table with your coffee, gazing out into your beautiful backyard every morning. Similar barstools here!

I just love her style. I would definitely want one of her brighter and whiter kitchens over her more dark and moody kitchens. I like the crisp feeling of a white kitchen mixed with some wood tones to bring in some warmth.
I also love the look of the antique pieces they use in every episode. Could you imagine having a warehouse full of antiques!? MY DREAM. Every antique has a story and just brings that "grandma's house" feel to any new construction.
A lot of her kitchens are made to fit the style of her clients, which is so important. She knows what to give them to make them happy. She is able to envision what they want and put it into action.
I am so sad Fixer upper by Chip and Joanna Gaines is over. SO SAD.

I love these. Joana Gaines showed an amazing cabinet refinishing a couple of weeks back. I wish I could remember what the kitchen was called so I could share it. I love Gaine's remodels. If only I could do what she does.

I too love and miss Fixer upper. And I love the kitchen designs, but I wish I had the name of the floor colors, so hard to find what I want to use when I go into a flooring store by just those small samples
