How to Make Easy Candied Cranberries
Ok there are only four main steps when it comes to these sugared cranberries... which is just how easy they are! The ingredients you will need are:
- White Sugar
- Fresh Cranberries
- Water
Lets jump into how you will make these easy candied cranberries:
- The first thing you are going to do is wash your cranberries and sort through them. Throw out any bad ones.
- Make the simple syrup. In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water. Stirring continuously, until sugar is fully dissolved. Make sure you do not boil! Remove from heat.
- Stir the cranberries into the sugar mixture. Use a slotted spoon and transfer cranberries to a wire rack (set it on top of a lined baking sheet or over the sink for easy clean up).
- Let cranberries dry for about an hour. When they are fully dried, roll cranberries in remaining sugar until completely coated.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days! You can prep these ahead of time or make them right before your guests arrive. Either way they will turn out delicious and pretty!

- What Can I Do With Sugared Cranberries? The options are endless! I like to use them to garnish holiday cocktails, a side on a cheese board, add on top of baked brie, or sprinkling them on a cake/pie! They are also so good you could just set them in a little bowl on the Christmas table!
- Can I Add Flavor To Candied Cranberries? I personally have not tried this but I have seen some recipes where people add vanilla or orange extract to the sugar water to add a unique flavor.
