This post is all about my Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Recipe!
Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Recipe Ingredients:
- Fresh ripe strawberries
- Filtered water
- agave or maple syrup or honey
- Fresh lemon juice
- Lemon slice for garnish
I know I probably don't need to say this, but all these ingredients taste best in this lemonade recipe when they are fresh and chilled. The fresher the better and the colder the better!
Instructions To Make Strawberry Lemonade:
- Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Blend on medium-high until completely smooth. This should take around 30 seconds with a good quality blender. Make sure there are now left over chunks. You want it to be very smooth.
- As you blend, stop and taste. Adjust your mixture as needed. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to their lemonade. Add more agave/honey/maple syrup for sweetness. Add more lemon juice for tartness, or more strawberries for a more intense strawberry flavor.
- Once the strawberry mixture is completely blended and smooth, pour it through a fine mesh strainer to remove any last chunks or strawberry seeds. Transfer into a large pitcher after.
- I recommend chilling the strawberry lemonade drink in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Once ready to serve, stir the drink in the pitcher and then pour over ice. You can add lemon slices for extra lemony punch (and it also looks super pretty!)
My favourite way to naturally sweeten drinks including my tea and coffee is adding in honey, agave nectar or maple syrup. Occasionally, I will also use a little bit of stevia (i'm talking half of a little pack of stevia).
Sweeting your drinks is usually a personal preference, which is why I rarely give an exact amount to add to my recipes. I always encourage to taste as you go to get exactly what you want out of your beverage recipe!
Tips and Tricks for Making Strawberry Lemonade
- Use super fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
- When adding your sweetener, try tasting the drink before adding more. Do not assume you know how much you want in there until you try it!
- When you puree your strawberries before adding them to your lemonade, make sure they are extra smooth for a less gritty bits. Then strain the puree through a strainer or milk bag before drinking!
- Add the lemon juice last so it doesn’t curdle or thicken.
- Add in Ice cubes to make it nice and cold.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Fresh is best though!
- You can adjust the number of cups of water you add as well. If you want a more condensed and stronger taste, cut back 0.5 cups of cold water at a time.
PRO TIP: If you have some time, make a double batch and pour the lemonade into an ice cube tray. Use these homemade strawberry lemonade ice cubes in the pitcher of lemonade when serving. This will keep it from being watered down.

- Iced lattes are another great summertime treat; simply brew up some strong hot coffee at home then pour it into glasses filled halfway full with ice cubes and top them off with your milk of choice. If you want to make a real iced latte, you will want to do expresso shots instead of brewing regular coffee.
