Hi Beauties!!
This is by far my favourite way to make a Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwiches Recipe! You will love it, I promise! This recipe for Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwiches is so delicious that you'll want to keep it on hand for any time of day. This pulled pork shoulder is easy to make, and it comes out with a fall-off-the-bone tenderness.
This recipe calls for a pork shoulder and homemade BBQ sauce. You can make your own sauce if you want to be really authentic (and we recommend it), or use store-bought sauce if you want to be less of a perfectionist but still get some decent results.
Pulled pork is one of those things that can be made in a slow cooker, or you can use a pressure cooker. Either way, it's pretty simple to make—just toss all your ingredients together and let them cook until the meat falls apart into shreds.
The best part about this recipe is that it doesn't take long at all, so if you want to impress some friends or family members with a fancy dinner that isn't too difficult or time consuming, this is the one for you!

How to Make Pulled Pork:
Pulled pork is one of the most versatile dishes out there. With just a few ingredients, you can make pulled pork in any flavor you want—from simple and classic to spicy and exotic. Here's how to make my Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwiches Recipe.
First you will need to make the sauce for the pulled pork. The easiest way to do this is to combine all the homemade BBQ sauce ingredients into a blender. I like to use our magic bullet blender for making this. On slow, combine all these ingredients. Once fulled mixed set aside.
Now to make the pork. Place this homemade BBQ sauce in a 1 quart pot. Bring this BBQ sauce mixture to a boil on high heat. Once boiling, reduce to a slow simmer. Place the pork butt into the sauce. Cover and Cook for 2 hours or until the meat pulls apart easily with a fork. You will want to flip the pork every so often to make sure its cooking throughout the pork. You will want an internal temp of 145 ºF.
Once it is cooked to 145 ºF and tender, remove the pork from the pot and place on a cutting board. Shred it apart using forks. Set it aside which you increase the heat of the homemade BBQ sauce in the pot. Bring it to a boil to reduce. Let the sauce boil down until it has been reduced by at least two thirds.
Once the sauce has been fully cooked. Return pork back into the pot and mix. Remove from heat. Serve on a toasted hamburg bun! I love topping my Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwiches with coleslaw and cheese!
What to Serve With a Pulled Pork Sandwich:
Pulled pork sandwiches are great for a quick dinner, or even for a picnic. They're easy to make and can be made in large batches that last several days. But what should you serve with your pulled pork sandwich? Here are some suggestions!
Pulled pork sandwiches are great with coleslaw, potato salad, or macaroni salad. Try serving them with a side of baked beans or corn on the cob for a complete meal.
If you're making pulled pork sandwiches right away, then you might want to serve them with a side of coleslaw or potato salad. Coleslaw is easy to make and only requires cabbage, vinegar, oil and sugar. Potato salad is also pretty easy to make—just boil some potatoes (or get them pre-made), mix them with mayonnaise and mustard, salt and pepper, then add celery and onions if you like those flavors. You could also serve corn on the cob or baked beans if you want something more substantial than just coleslaw or potato salad.
If you're making pulled pork sandwiches ahead of time so that you have leftovers for later in the week (or month), then maybe consider serving them alongside some fresh fruit or vegetables as well as bread for dipping into all that delicious sauce!
While it's hard to beat a classic pulled pork sandwich, I love serving my recipe with some of our family favorite sides:
- Baked Beans: This is an old-fashioned classic that is often overlooked. Try our recipe for baked beans with a twist!
- Grilled Corn: Grilling corn gives it a smoky flavor, and adding some bacon to the mix just makes everything better.
- Potato Salad: We love making this potato salad with ranch dressing instead of mayo because it has more flavor and less fat—it's basically health food (or something).
This is a really good recipe for pulled pork sandwiches. I like to make this up on the weekend when I have leftover pork shoulder and want to use it up before it goes bad. This is also a great way to feed a crowd at your next party, because these sandwiches are always popular!
